Well said. Although, history didn't stop in 1905; since then, Mom has experienced genocidal actions from Walter Plecker, a half-nod to an almost-forgotten Native American tribe, a few cross-burnings and - now - a fight on its hands to mine uranium throughout the state. A rape, perhaps?

I hope some Virginians have gone beyond denial and shock and have moved into the next stages of grief, which would be anger. It's about time to get out of the mourning chair and into the light provided by some portions of the 21st century.

But, first, we need more broadband.
